Hello world!

Welcome to my “livin’ Italian” Blog!

It is my first post and I’m just trying everything out, not sure how everything works yet, so be patient!

I just wanted to say hello to all of you who will be joining me on this journey. I have been debating about putting up a blog for such a long time, but never managed to get to it with all my daily responsibilities.  You know things like trying to keep a job (being a sub teacher for 15 years in Italy isn’t an easy task at all), surviving, children, wife and much more.

Then I said to my self, if I don’t get to it now I probably never will. I’ve learned to procrastinate so well through the past years that I’ve postponed doing many of the things I really loved, like writing.  I’ve always dreamed of becoming a writer, my first dream before anything else, but you know it happens to many, we start with a dream and we end up somewhere else.  Don’t get me wrong, I love being a teacher in Italy (even if still a sub/temp) my experiences with my students have been at the base of my growth, but now I feel it is the time to start on this new path, so here I am.

I’ll be talking about everything that has to do with living in Italy, 360 degrees of information, some of which the media ignores just because not interesting for them, or just because they don’t know. Politics, school (obviously), food and wine (yeah!), travel and just much, much more. Feel free to email me, contact me, follow me here or on twitter, I’ll be just more than happy to talk to you. If you have any advice please, help me out.

Until then, I hope you enjoy my blog as I try to put it together piece by piece just like a giant puzzle.

Ciao

Tony
